The Kind of Intimate, Detail-Driven Wedding Day That Makes My Heart So Full

Some wedding days stop you in your tracks the moment you walk in the door. The kind where every single detail has been so intentionally chosen that it all just… fits together perfectly. Sunny and Mark’s burgundy micro wedding at the Greenhouse on Harvard was exactly that. Rich, romantic, and so incredibly beautiful from every angle.

As a Coeur d’Alene wedding photographer, I am always so excited when a wedding brings together an incredible team of local vendors who all just get it, and this day had that in spades. Every detail felt layered and intentional and I genuinely could not stop photographing every corner of that room.

Let’s get into it!!

The Venue: Greenhouse on Harvard

If you have not heard of the Greenhouse on Harvard, please let me introduce you to your new favorite wedding venue in the Pacific Northwest. Located just minutes from Coeur d’Alene, this place is absolutely stunning. Think lush greenery, natural light pouring through gorgeous glass panels, warm wood tones, and this incredible botanical energy that somehow manages to feel both intimate and grand at the same time.

It is the kind of venue that does a lot of the heavy lifting for you aesthetically and then the right vendors come in and take it completely over the top. Which is exactly what happened here. The Greenhouse on Harvard is such a dream to photograph as a Coeur d’Alene wedding photographer and I hope I get to shoot there approximately one million more times.

The Details: Burgundy Done So Right

Okay, the color palette. BURGUNDY. I cannot say enough about how gorgeous a deep burgundy wedding is in this venue. The richness of the tones against the greenery and natural textures of the Greenhouse created this moody, romantic atmosphere that felt so elevated and intentional.

The florals from McBride Floral Design were an absolute showstopper. Deep burgundy blooms, lush greenery, and this gorgeous texture that made every arrangement feel like art. I could have photographed those flowers all day long and honestly, I kind of did!! If you are a bride looking for a floral designer in the Coeur d’Alene and Spokane area, McBride Floral Design needs to be at the very top of your list.

The flat lay was put together by Mir Designs Co and it was stunning. Every little detail, the rings, the invitations, the ribbons, the textures, all laid out so beautifully. A gorgeous flat lay is one of those things that can feel like a small detail in the planning process but trust me, when you see those photos you will be so glad you did it.

The rentals from Patina Events and Table du Jour Rentals brought so much warmth and character to the space. The tabletop details, the linens, the chairs, every single piece was so thoughtfully chosen and it all came together in a way that felt cohesive and romantic and completely intentional.

And the cake from Evergreen Cake Co? Stunning. The kind of cake that makes your jaw drop a little before you even think about how good it tastes. Truly a piece of art!!

The charcuterie spread from The Traveling Platter was absolutely incredible too. Gorgeous, abundant, and styled so beautifully it almost felt wrong to eat it. Almost!!

Sunny & Mark: The Most Beautiful Details Start With the People

From the moment hair and makeup were complete, the whole day just glowed. Blush by T took care of makeup and the results were absolute perfection, soft and romantic and just right for the burgundy palette. Demie Does Manes handled hair and every single look was gorgeous and so polished.

Sunny was radiant. There is no other word for it. And Mark in his tux from Tuxedo Gallery looked so handsome. The Tuxedo Gallery always delivers and this was no exception. They just looked so good together!!

Watching two people move through a wedding day so full of love and joy for each other is genuinely the reason I do this job. I was so honored to be in that room capturing it all.

The Dream Team Behind This Day

I have to take a moment to just shout out every single vendor who made this day happen because the talent in this room was incredible. As a Coeur d’Alene wedding photographer, getting to collaborate with vendors at this level is something I never take for granted.

Florals by McBride Floral Design. Makeup by Blush by T. Hair by Demie Does Manes. Flat lay by Mir Designs Co. Rentals by Patina Events and Table du Jour Rentals. Venue: Greenhouse on Harvard. Tux from Tuxedo Gallery. Cake by Evergreen Cake Co. Charcuterie by The Traveling Platter. This was all brought together by the incredibly talented Savvy Leigh Photography who hosted and curated the most beautiful day.

Every single person on this list showed up and gave everything and it shows in every single image!!

Why Micro Weddings Are Having a Moment and Honestly, I Am Here for It

Can we talk for a second about micro weddings? Because I think they are one of the most underrated ways to get married and days like this one are exactly why. When you strip a wedding down to just the people and details that matter most, everything gets elevated. The florals hit different. The moments feel more intimate. The photos are more intentional. You are not managing a guest list of 200, you are just present in the most beautiful room with your favorite people and it is so incredibly special.

If you are a bride in the Coeur d’Alene, north Idaho, or Montana area who is dreaming of something intimate and detail-driven, I cannot encourage you enough to consider a micro wedding format. And if you want to talk through what that could look like for you, I would love that conversation so much!

Super8 Highlight video to capture their day.

Super 8 just hits different for micro weddings. It’s a little grainy, a little imperfect, and somehow makes everything feel more real. The small moments, a quick kiss and quiet details all stand out in the best way. It’s not about being polished, it’s about capturing the vibe, and that’s what makes it so special! This super8 highlight video was just that. Honestly I just can not picture a better addition to your photos from your wedding day. The motion captures the memories in such a nostalgic way.
